From Jersey Shores to Texas: A Transplant’s Tale
John Totin’s story begins in New Jersey, where he was born and raised. A move in 2006 to Texas was prompted by family dynamics and brought him to the city of San Antonio. Despite the cultural shift from the east coast to the Texan landscape, John and his family embraced the change with open arms.
A Path Less Traveled: Into Real Estate
Upon his arrival, John transitioned from mortgages to the wonderful world of real estate. With a background in sales and an inherent talent for understanding market strategies, John naturally gravitated towards real estate, acquiring his license in the turbulent times of 2008, right as the market collapsed.
Developing a Career and Finding a Passion
John’s career trajectory is as dynamic as it is impressive. His insights and passion for strategy led to building, and eventually disbanding, his own real estate team. His acute understanding of market demands and his preference for working with sellers helped mold his professional journey.

After stints at various real estate firms, a serendipitous coffee with Steven Gragg, the broker at Keller Williams Legacy, opened a new chapter for John. His role as a team leader provides him the platform to leverage his strategic acumen and mentorship skills, reinforcing Keller Williams Legacy’s culture of support and authenticity.

The last few years in real estate have been as challenging as 2008, but John believes that keeping focused on the basics and maintaining discipline are key.
